Here at Christie Treats, our main objective is to provide our customers with a delicious, quality product that is made with the finest ingredients. We want to ensure that everything from ordering to delivery goes smoothly and safely. Therefore, it is necessary for us to establish ordering policies that not only protect you, but us as well.


Company Policy
Christie Treats, strives at providing our customers with, quality sweet and savory treats that all can have the opportunity to enjoy regardless of dietary restrictions. We promise to provide a great service as well as a great product and therefore our prices are slightly higher than your average store bought cake.

Christie Treats, currently operates under the Florida Cottage Food Law, which means that we are able to prepare our desserts, following certain restrictions, without the need or a commercial kitchen. This does not mean that we are not professionals, or do not comply with safety laws, we must follow all safety laws too. This simply means that we are able to prepare and sell nonperishable products using our own kitchen rather than a commercial kitchen. These can be costly when starting out, in the near future, as business increases, we will be obtaining a food truck that satisfies the needs of a commercial environment.

Christie Treats, provides a list of ingredients in all our baked goods, we do this to comply with Cottage Food Laws, and to notify you of any cautions due to food allergies. We cannot serve any product that needs refrigeration, therefore, all of our desserts are shelf stable. This means they do not contain and dairy based buttercreams or fillings that cannot be set out for a long period of time.

Outside Events
Christie Treats, wants to make sure that all your desserts arrive and remain in the best quality until you and your guests can enjoy them. In regards to our food being nonperishable, we must make sure that our baked goods will be safe once they reach your destination. This is Florida, any dessert placed outside or in a warm climate during an event has the possibility of becoming rancid, melting, or deforming due to the heat and humidity. We are not responsible for any damage occurring once your dessert has been delivered or picked up due to weather conditions, including of the vehicle transporting them.


Pricing Policy
Christie Treats, promises to always provide our customers with accurate and honest pricing of our baked goods, one that does not offend you or us. Our pricing is not based on labor, but ingredients, the amount of detail, and the quantity of the product ordered. Our product contains quality ingredients, which are naturally going to cost more than a mere box of cake mix and can of frosting.

One example, is our regular 9″ round Chocolate Cherry Layer Cake, it contains: oat, almond, and chickpea flour, potato starch, cocoa powder, non-dairy chocolate chips, pure cane sugar, baking powder, vegan butter, vanilla, organic vegetable shortening, vegan marshmallow fluff, pure cane powdered sugar, non GMO cornstarch, and cherries. This does not include the items needed to decorate the cake, and supplies such as cake boards, boxes, and parchment paper. The costs add up when everything is made with quality ingredients, and if sugar or nut free are needed, the costs of the ingredients are even more.

Refund Policy
Christie Treats, promises to provide a quality product, but things happen that we cannot always control, and for that reason we have come up with the following refund policy.

Christie Treats, will offer a full refund of your deposit within seven days of the initial order in the event that you need to cancel at least (10) days prior. Sorry, we cannot refund the deposit if the event is canceled within (10) days prior to the initial date requested.

Christie Treats, documents all orders on paper and will be in constant contact to ensure that you get the product that you are asking for. In the event that you are not satisfied with our product upon arrival, we will issue a refund, minus the non-refundable deposit. Sorry, we cannot give refunds for items after they are consumed.

Christie Treats, make every effort to ensure that your desserts arrive in prime condition, once in a while things do happen that we cannot control. If we cannot fix the problem upon arrival we will issue a refund, minus the non-refundable deposit. Sorry, if the product is picked up after paid in full and arrives in bad condition a refund will not be given. However, if enough notice is given we will do everything we can to get you an alternate dessert.


Deposit Policy
A non refundable deposit is necessary for all orders for two reasons:
1. It holds your place so that no other orders take place over yours.
2. It provides us with the means to order any special items (cake stands, plates, pillars etc.) needed for your order.
In the event that you must cancel your order, the deposit may be refunded only if it is canceled within the first seven days of your initial order.

Layer Cakes/Cupcakes/Specialty Cakes
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required for large cake orders, the deposit assures us that you are serious about wanting a cake with us. It also locks in your date so no other orders take place over yours. Full payment is due upon pick up or delivery.

Birthday Cakes, Custom Cakes & Wedding Cakes
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required for custom cake orders because ingredients, cake board, and other supplies cost money. The deposit assures us that you are serious about wanting a cake with us and also locks in your date so no other orders take place over yours. Full payment is due upon pick up or delivery.

Cookies & Breads
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required for orders over three dozen, the deposit assures us that you are serious about wanting a dessert with us. It also locks in your date so no other orders take place over yours. Full payment is due upon pick up or delivery.


Date Ordering Policy
Christie Treats, will do everything in our ability to make sure your desserts are ready when you request them, to ensure you get them on the date you need them we have the following guidelines.

Standard Cakes/Cupcakes
All of our items are made fresh to order, we follow a two day process to ensure that everything from the cake to the decorations are fresh and beautiful. Please order these at least three days prior to your pick up date.

Signature Cakes/Custom Cakes
1-2 Cakes or Cupcakes (based on dozen) Ordered – 1 Week Advanced Notice Preferred, deposit due when order is placed.
3-4 Cakes or Cupcakes (based on dozen) Ordered – 2 Weeks Advanced Notice Preferred, deposit due 1 week prior.
5 or More Cakes or Cupcakes (based on dozen) Ordered – 1 Month Advanced Notice Required, deposit due 2 weeks prior.
Note: Dates requesting may not be available, please order well in advance to be sure you get your specific date.

Themed Cakes/Custom Cakes//Tiered Cakes/Cupcake Cakes
Depending on the type of cake and decorations wanting it could take at least a week to assemble flowers, shapes, and other special details. We do not use wires or anything inedible in our desserts except dowel supports in tiered cakes, and special ordered cake toppers, which might have glass, plastic, real or silk flowers.

At least 1 Month Advanced Notice Required for buttercream decorated, deposit due 2 weeks prior.
At least 2 Months Advanced Noticed for more detailed decorated, deposit due 4 weeks prior.

Cookies & Breads
All of our items are made fresh to order, we follow a same day process to ensure that everything is fresh and beautiful. Please order these at one day prior to your pick up date.

1-2 Orders – 3 Days Advanced Notice Preferred, deposit due when order is placed.
3-4 Orders – 1 Week Advanced Notice Preferred, deposit due when order is placed.
5 or More Orders – 2 Weeks Advanced Notice Required, deposit due 1 week prior.


Delivery/Pick Up Policy
We use Styrofoam insulation on large orders to make sure desserts keep cool during transportation.
0-10 Mile Radius – $25
11-20 Mile Radius – $40
We will assemble tiered cakes at the site, please be sure to give us ample time to set it up.

Pick Up
If you choose to pick up your cake and transport it yourself, we are not liable or responsible for the desserts once they have left the premises. You should prepare your vehicle so it is cool, clean, and free of items that could roll or slide onto them.

Note: We do everything in our power to provide a well-structured cake, but please note that cakes are very fragile and brake easily, drive carefully and slowly.
