👩‍🍳 From Passion to Purpose
Hi, I’m Christina V., founder of Christie Treats. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and baked my first cake at age 9 — a moment that sparked a lifelong love for creating food that brings joy. In high school, a commercial foods class deepened my interest, and by 1984, I was working in a kitchen, quickly moving from dishwasher to food prep. That’s when I knew I wanted to own a restaurant someday.
After moving to Central Florida in 1994, I worked in a deli and later ran a small seasonal catering business. Though I eventually stepped away from catering, my love for cooking and baking never faded. I’ve always found joy in watching people enjoy the food I create — it’s my way of sharing comfort and care.

🧁 A Health Journey That Sparked Innovation
In 2011, I discovered I was gluten and lactose intolerant. That diagnosis led me to explore wholesome, from-scratch alternatives to processed foods — and I never looked back. I began experimenting with gluten-free cakes and pastries that were so tasty, no one could tell they were allergen-friendly.
In 2012, I took cake decorating classes to elevate my presentation, and what started as a hobby quickly blossomed into a full-service home bakery. My sugar-free layered cakes became a top request, and I developed signature recipes for those with special dietary needs using all natural ingredients.
By 2015, I expanded into allergen free baking, creating moist, decadent cakes without peanuts, eggs, or dairy. I also added savory items to the menu — with soft pretzel bites becoming a customer favorite.

💛 A Ministry of Sweetness
In 2005, I dedicated my life to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Serving Him through church socials reignited my passion for food service, and today, Christie Treats is more than a bakery — it’s a ministry.
In 2023, I married the love of my life, and with renewed passion and God’s guidance, am thrilled to do the two most favorite things in my life, teach people about Jesus and give them something good to eat.

✝️ I’m Following Jesus Ministry
I also lead I’m Following Jesus, a not-for-profit Gospel mission inspired by Mark 8:34: “Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

Since 2007, this online ministry has reached thousands around the world, teaching the truths of the King James Bible and sharing the love of Christ. All glory goes to God — He alone sustains this work.
